The Moth

June 19, 2019

An American institution, The Moth is devoted to the art of storytelling. A non-profit group, founded in 1997 by George Dawes Green, The Moth holds regular literary events across the country, shows which feature ordinary people and celebrities alone on stage, simply telling a real-life story. Since its launch, The Moth has added several arms to its empire, including a podcast and a radio show, but nothing can compare to seeing one of these events live.

Veteran indie-rockers Sebadoh are embarking on a two-month summer tour of the USA and Canada in support of new record Act Surprised. The group's 9th studio album as a perfect showcase of their classicly lo-fi, nitty gritty sound and is their first record in six years, since 2013's Defend Yourself topped the Billboard 'New Alternative Artists' chart.

A regular on the Chelsea Lately show as a round-table panellist, Jen has cut her teeth in comedy with the best, having also worked with Funny Or Die, and Drunk History. With four comedy albums under her belt, her latest offering Just Keep Living? was released in 2017 to great praise. Now she heads out on the road across North America to tour her outspoken, and proud feminist material, covering subjects from abortion, menstruation, street harassment and Twitter rants.

A former child actress in the 1980s, Jenny Lewis turned to music to channel her disenchantment with tinseltown into Americana-tinged folk pop with an edge. Following her tenure as frontwoman for American rock outfit Rilo Kiley, Lewis explored new horizons on her debut solo album Rabbit Fur Coat in 2006, establishing her presence as a force to be reckoned with on the indie scene. Three albums and thirteen years later, the songstress is gearing up for a mammoth North American tour in support of the 2019 release of On The Line, the brand new album featuring fresh material and collaborations with the likes of Ringo Starr, Beck, Ryan Adams and Benmont Tench.
