PLEASE HIRE A NEW BOARD GUY

As others have stated - the sound was awful - the range was flooded, vocals and solos lost. There is no doubt to ability, but it was an unpleasant experience to see it but not hear it.

MARCUS IS A STAR BUT THE SOUND WAS UNBELIEVABLY BAD. SHOCKINGLY BAD.

It was a crying shame how bad the sound was. This was not helped by the sound person nor the over-the-top power the players had onstage.

MARCUS KING AT MISSION BALLROOM DENVER

Overplayed, uncoordinated wall of mush last night, and that can't all be blamed on a sound engineer....maybe there wasn't one? Why, oh why would ANYONE put Willy Nelson, Danny O'Keefe, and Country-esque Mick Jagger into an over-cooked swamp-rock gumbo? A "Wild Horses" duet with no harmony was not worth playing (or listening to) with a guest singer who was brought on for ONE song. Intros for the King band were remarkably awful, from Neil Francis (?) to some so-called comedian (couldn't understand his name or "humor") - an embarrassment of lousy management from AEG which seems to be routine for this music-blind promotion cartel. I will be extremely careful to go to another show at the Mission!

GREAT SONGS, TERRIBLE SOUND

The two opening bands were great, just wish I could of heard the lyrics,, sounds was so F**** up. Waited way too long watching the stage being cleaned off for Marcus.. and then waited for him....then couldn't hear a thing lyrically, it was mush. Lousy sound! Not impressed at all, the instrumental solos that I look forward literally sounded like noise. We left early after traveling from Granite Falls and then dealing with down town Seattle. Will think twice next time, was not impressed, should of read the reviews would of known the sound sucks and they do not listen to the public.. Looks like its been going on all tour, not just here. Fire your sound guy

WANTED TO HEAR THE MARCUS KING BAND

I went to see and hear the Marcus King band at the theater of the Living Arts last night Tuesday December 10th. I saw the band but what I heard sounded like a high school band in a gymnasium. The sound was very poor! I saw two horn players but never heard a single horn sound all night. The bass player sounded like he was playing at 11. Marcus Kings guitar playing and vocals were very distorted and muddy sounding. And while we're on the subject the theater of the Living Arts apparently doesn't care about the people since they packed in way more people than the venue could hold. I can't blame the lack of care from theater of the Living Arts on Marcus King but if Marcus wants his fans to enjoy the concert he needs to address the sound issue.

SOUND GUYS BLEW IT

Words cannot express how disappointed our whole party is over the ridiculously blown out sound at last night's show at the Uptown Theatre in KC. All of us are huge fans of Marcus and were so looking forward to seeing him live at the peak of his young career. Others who attended the show said the same thing. Not sure of the sound engineers are employees of the theatre or if they with the tour, but they should be fired. Like another reviewer here, I moved around theatre and even sat for a few minutes right next to the sound booth. It was bad everywhere! I even typed and all caps message on my phone and showed it to one of the "engineers" and he just shrugged it off. Lesson learned I guess. Don't go to shows at rinky dink old theaters where the acoustics apparently can't be managed.

TERRIBLE SOUND

I was really looking forward to this show, love Marcus king and the band As some other reviewers stated. Whoever was in charge of sound should be fired. That was the worst sound I’ve ever heard at any concert. Nobody stood out in the mix. Marcus could have been in the wrong key and you wouldn’t have known. Wall of absolute mush.
